Fallen Soldier Scholarship Ride

Jersey Shore Post 36 American Legion Riders will hold a Fallen Soldier Scholarship Ride, beginning at the post. The ride will end at the Muncy American Legion with a meal at 3 p.m. and entertainment by the Cadillac Cats. All proceeds will benefit local veterans.

“The Evolution of Glass”

The Thomas T. Taber Museum will host the first of its Society Programs in the Community Room of the museum. It will feature good friend of the Museum Deb Parsons with a lecture on the history of glass and a demonstration of hot glass.  

The lecture is being held on the third Sunday of the month, which coincides with the free Sunday at the museum. Admission to tour the rest of the Museum is free. The museum is now open on Sundays from May through October.

Craft supply swap and crafternoon

The James V. Brown Library is hosting a crafternoon event for locals to bring in gently-used art and craft supplies. Crafters are welcome to bring projects to work on, or stop at the craft station to see what’s available to make and take home.

During the Sunday supply swap and crafternoon, people have a place to bring their unwanted but usable materials and obtain new materials for free, which has a positive effect on both a person’s economy and the environment.

Free-will donations also will be accepted.

  • When: 2 to 4 p.m. (crafters with tickets can shop from 12:30 to 2 p.m.)

Trump in Montoursville

President Donald Trump will hold a rally in Montoursville.

Borough Police Department:

Access to the event is from South Loyalsock Ave only.

There will be a designated protest area in the 200 block of Jordan Ave at S Loyalsock Ave.

Please find a legal place to park and plan on the possibility of walking over a mile. Also remember where you parked your car.

The temperature is projected to be in the high 70s.

The Covation Center will host a social media seminar for small businesses with the Lock Haven University Small Business Development Center. Christie Clancy, owner of Clancy 214 Photography, will be the presenter. Attendees will learn the basics of creating a social media strategy.
