Kitchen Korner: Italian style coffee at Backhouse Café

This husband and wife-owned business serves coffee and tea, all while providing a cozy atmosphere for their customers.

Ron and June Wright opened Backhouse Coffee & Tea in September 2018. Their shop is located in a renovated Victorian style home on the corner of West Fourth Street and Maynard Street. Just across from the Thomas Taber Museum, it holds it’s own piece of Williamsport history.

At Backhouse, Ron Wright specializes in Italian-style coffee, and he is passionate about keeping his beverages as authentic as possible, without the common sweet infusion common in most ‘Americanized” coffees.
