High School Juniors and Seniors get the chance to lead a production from start to finish – from picking the show to the final bows!

Heartworks Support Group

Heartworks is a “family-based” peer support program for grieving children, teens and their families and offers peer-support groups for:

  • Ages 4-6
  • Elementary
  • Middles
  • Teens
  • Parent(s)/caregiver(s) of enrolled children/teens

Peer groups meet on the 2nd and 4th Tuesdays (1st & 3rd Tuesdays in November/December) of the month from 6:00 pm until 7:30 pm September through May of the 2019-2020 school year. Dinner is provided from 6:00-6:30pm for all families, staff, & volunteers.

POUND Fitness with Mandy

We are used to being quiet in the library, but we are going to get loud and make noise for a special POUND Fitness class!!!

This worldwide activity is happening right here in Williamsport.

POUND is a full body cardio jam session inspired by playing the drums. POUND is designed for participants sweat, sculpt, and rock out their workout. POUND Fitness provides choreographed routines to popular music using weighted drumsticks, known as Ripstix.

Participants stand, sit, lunge, and lay down to work various muscle groups.Everything in POUND can be modified. We promote an “any age, any stage” opportunity, but preferably ages 13 and up for this event.

Free Bone Density Screening for Osteoporosis

Free bone density screenings are offered to determine your risk for osteoporosis, & help reduce future risk for broken bones and fracture.

Daniel’s Closet

Clothing and other necessities will be the topic of the Wednesday Noon Ecumenical Lunch Program on January 15 when Mrs. Barbara Horn and Mrs. Carol Johnson, Members of Redeemer Lutheran Church and Co-Directors of Daniel’s Closet are the guest speakers. Ecumenical Lunch, a program of United Churches, is held at Pine Street United Methodist Church, 441 Pine Street, Williamsport. Free Parking is available in their lot north of the church from 11:30 – 1:30 and the program includes a catered $6 lunch. Daniel Tiger’s Neighborhood LIVE!

“Won’t you be my neighbor?” Daniel Tiger and all of his friends from the beloved PBS KIDS television series are hopping aboard Trolley to your town with DANIEL TIGER’S NEIGHBORHOOD LIVE! Along with “O” the Owl, Katerina Kittycat, Prince Wednesday, Mom and Dad Tiger and many more, Daniel Tiger will take live audiences on an interactive musical adventure to the Neighborhood of Make-Believe, sharing stories of friendship, helping others and celebrating new experiences. This live theatrical production filled with music, dancing, laughter and “grr-ific” surprises will warm the hearts of multiple generations.

Rockin’ It Science

Our community experts in science are presenting their most exciting and engaging workshops for local science-minded 8-12 year olds. Join us each month as we explore a new and different subject: Anatomy, Physics, National Science Foundation Explorations, Paramedics experiences, Native American Indians and more. No registration is required, but this program is open to the first 12 students that sign up on the day of the workshop, at the library.

Handgun 1 – Basic Pistol Operation

Students will learn the basics of safe handgun operation & receive hands-on live fire instruction. 2 hours in the classroom, 2 on the range.

Williamsport Soap Box Derby Registration

Does you child have the need for speed?  Williamsport Soap Box Derby is hosting registrations for its 2020 race, scheduled for Saturday, June 13th.   This registration and information session will provide you with the details of gravity racing. Children can sign up for one of two divisions:  Stock Division (ages 7-13) or Super Stock Division (ages 9-18). Williamsport Soap Box Derby was recognized as a top race city in 2019 and we are looking for drivers to compete in this year’s race event.
