Events: LLWS final, community block party, farm show

The Little League World Series comes to an end on Sunday, but there are plenty of community events to keep you busy for the rest of the week. 

Sunday, August 25 

Community Block Party

The First Presbyterian Church of Milton will be holding its ninth annual “Block Party” on Sunday, August 25, 2019 from noon until 3:00 pm in the church parking lot.

The event will feature free food and entertainment as well as activities and games for the children. In addition, canned goods and fresh produce will be given away. The block party is a part of the church’s “Faith in Action” ministry to give back to the community.

The block party will be held rain or shine.

Little League Baseball World Series

The Little League World Series will finish with its final two games on Sunday with the consolation game at 10 a.m. and the final game at 3 p.m.

Clinton County Farmers Market

Every Tuesday throughout fall. An indoor/outdoor market of seasonal fruits, vegetables and plants, crafts and flea market items, food and more.

Kid’s Night Cruises on the Hiawatha

Join us for a good old fashioned ice cream social while you cruise down the Susquehanna River. on this hour and a half cruise. You can make your own sundae.  Bar includes: vanilla ice cream, sprinkles, chocolate rocks, crushed oreos, cherries, chocolate/caramel/strawberry sauce, and whipped cream! Sundae included in the ticket price. While you wait to make your sundae, be entertained by interactive close up magic with Brent Kessler.

The Glitter Girls

The Glitter Girls (a northern Georgia women’s social club) have been summoned by their richest member, Trudy Tromaine, who is supposedly at death’s door. The girls must decide which one lucky member among them will receive some of Trudy’s millions, launching some hilarious and touching campaigns, with all of them unaware of some other twists and turns that lie in wait.
