The Search for Little Green Men | Planetarium Show

What’s up in the current March night sky? Little green men, of course! In November 1967, Jocelyn Bell Burnell detected a strange signal from the radio telescope she was using during her graduate school years. She and her advisor jokingly called this signal LGM-1 (little green men), in reference to extraterrestrial life. March’s planetarium show will discuss the possibilities for extraterrestrial life and what conditions must be present for a planet to be considered habitable, as well as the mystery signal detected by Burnell (Spoiler Alert: it was a pulsar).
