ACTIONS ONLY: Personnel changes, equipment purchased

WILLIAMSPORT – The Lyocming County commissioners had a short meeting Thursday, passing some personnel items and approving new equipment for the county landfill. On the PULSE publishes the county’s action items after each Thursday meeting.

TDA ACTIONS 

Approve update to the TDA Report Effective 2/15/20. PASS 

  • Remove one (1) part-time temporary Planning & Community Development Special Projects position, Paygrade 15. 
    • This was the temporary position formerly held by Kurt Haussauman, the previous executive director for the county Department of Planning and Community Development. He stayed on in a temporary capacity to as the office transitioned. 

PERSONNEL ACTIONS 

Approve the following personnel actions: PASS 3-0

  • DPS-Jeffrey L. Hutchins, Full time Replacement/Promotion, DPS Director of Public Safety- Salary $80,000.00. Effective 2/23/20. 
  • Pre-Release- Corey W. Brewer, Part time Replacement PRC Driver- (not to exceed 1000 hours annually). Paygrade 4 $12.96/ hourly. Effective 2/24/20. 

SALARY BOARD ACTIONS 

Approve update to Salary Schedule. Effective 2/15/20. PASS 3-0

  • Remove one (1) part-time temporary Planning & Community Development Special Projects position, Paygrade 15. 

ACTION ITEMS 

Grant and Monitoring Agreement with Lycoming County Historical Society to Lycoming County Library System grant funds, in the amount of $10,000.00. PASS 3-0

Radiological Emergency Response Fund (RERF) grant application in the amount of $4,876. PASS 3-0

Purchase Request for 2 New Michelin XL DD2 L-5 Off Road Heavy Equipment Tires for RMS. In the amount of $17,269.00. 

  • Tires for a loader for Resource Management Services (the county landfill). 

Tolling Agreement w/ Cummings & Smith, Inc., Consulting Engineers for RMS. 

  • This extends the county’s agreement with Cummings & Smith until May 21, 2021 for work Cummings is doing on the landfill leachate tank construction. The extension allows the county to reserve the right to take legal action should the design not meet the county’s expectations. 

Purchase Request for 1 New 2020 QEDESI GEM 5000 Portable Gas Extraction Monitor for RMS. Amount of $12,683.80. 

  • A device that the staff of the landfill use to extract gas and give a reading. This is required for compliance by the county.
