Poems of a Recovering Addict: The choice is yours

“All life is

Is a long list of decisions

Choices both good and bad

You make to fulfill your vision

Do not regret if at first

It’s a wrong path you choose

Because your destination

Can be reached through many avenues

With each mistake you make

Comes a lesson you need

To ensure you are capable

Of standing on your own two feet

One day you’ll be ready

To take off and soar

Just remember life is a choice

And the choice is yours.”

  1. Nailed it again, Kelsey♡ our paths are far from straight and sometimes we take a right when we should of gone left. There are no dead ends in recovery..every day we make choices that change that journey and every day we wake up we have another 24 hours ahead to do better than yesterday. It is so great to have choices because alcohol and drugs took that from us long enough. Love you my friend.
