The Little League World Series kicks off this week with the Grand Slam Parade on Wednesday, but don’t forget other community events like music in the park or arts and crafts at Eagles Mere.

Annual Lycoming County Democratic Picnic / Candidates Showcase

Enjoy a picnic with the Lycoming County Democratic candidates for Commissioner, County Prothonotary, Williamsport City Mayor, Williamsport City Council, Williamsport City Controller, local School Boards and Borough/township offices.

Over 90 fine artists and crafters from Florida to New York will share their work at the Eagles Mere Art and Crafts Show, including live entertainment.

Williamsport Prenatal Preparation Class

The Ronald McDonald House of Danville is actively seeking volunteers to help support the parking fundraiser during the Little League World Series. All volunteers must be 18 years old or older. Call Michael Jacobs at 570-214-1792 for more information.

Bike with Spirit of Women

Gather your friends and family to join Nathaniel Hare, MD, UPMC Susquehanna allergist, for a leisurely 60-minute bike ride on the Pine Creek Trail. Enjoy the ride filled with nature’s beauty including cliff walls, water falls, and a gorgeous waterway, while discussing allergies. The trail is hard-packed gravel with a gradual grade, perfect for beginner or expert bikers. Bring your own bicycle and helmet. Snacks and water will be provided. 

  • When: 8:30 a.m. for a free helmet check by Annalisa Negrea, RN, BSN, CEN, injury prevention coordinator. Annalisa will provide simple tips to ensure you and your family have the correct helmet fit for every ride.
  • Where: Pine Creek Rail Trail, 640 Railroad St, Jersey Shore

Stream Survey

Many things besides fish live in a healthy stream, but most of them spend their lives hiding under rocks or other sunken debris. Join the park naturalist to search for these critters, and learn more about them. Come prepared to get into the water.
