Events: Trunk or Treat, community clean up, 5ks

The coming week starts out in the mid-to-upper 60s and then dips down to the 50s toward the weekend. Some rain is expected on Halloween, so plan for trick-or-treat fun with an umbrella or rain coat.

Lewisburg Fall Community Cleanups

Lewisburg Neighborhoods invites the community to come out each fall to participate in the International Coastal Cleanup right here in Central PA. We intercept trash in the public space and along the waterways in town hoping to halt its march down the Susquehanna, into the Chesapeake, and out to the ocean.

Halloween Costume Party hosted by the Friends of the Symphony Orchestra

Friends of the Symphony calling all GHOULS & BOYS to join a Halloween costume party. A buffet brunch will be catered by Le Jeune Chef and an instrumental petting zoo will be offered by Robert M. Sides.

Preschool story time

For children ages 3 1/2 to 5 years old (not yet in kindergarten).

Adult participation and registration is required. (Please note that registration for this program is ongoing and remains open until the class is full.)

Preschool story time is a wonderful tradition to continue to build upon your nurturing a love of reading with your child. Sharing books and reading together is the best way to raise a reader. Don’t forget to take lots of books home to enjoy after story time.

National Christian College Fair

The National Christian College Fair will be held at Meadowbrook Christian School on Wednesday, October 30, 2019, from Noon to 2:00 PM. College representatives from many of the top Christian colleges in the nation will be available from the school gymnasium to assist high school students and families with college planning. A financial aid workshop will also be available.

The Rocky Horror Picture Show Live

Join us for another year of absolute pleasure with The Rocky Horror “Picture” Show Live! One Weekend only! This is a live production of the cult classic. Raffles! Fishnets! B.Y.O.B! Black Wolf Fiore Dagger Hell!

This 12 hour workshop maxes out at 10 slots. Tickets are $50 per person. This will cover the cost of travel for Patrick and any assistants and their hard work.

This workshop goes over all of Fiore’s dagger plays. You will become familiar with Fiore’s organization and reaction to a dagger attack. Every play will be performed to a safe completion with a cooperative partner. Advantages and disadvantages for many of the plays and masters will be discussed.

  1. I feel the story time announcement and the community dinner announcements lack useful info. What organization is sponsoring them? Where are they being held? Is there more than a street address?
